A little while ago, I got my hands on a yet another pair of Adidas trainers, and had been looking for the perfect outfit to pair them with. The reason I bought this particular pair was the pastel colour of the Adidas stripes, something that I didn’t have in my collection.
Now I would be the first to admit that I am not a girl who loves pastel colours. Can’t say I ever have been, doubt I ever will be. I much prefer stronger colours. Pastels say gentle and feminine. They imply softer lines and frills. I’m much more bold and boisterous. That being said though, there is a time and a place for lighter shades, and when you discover that you have a pair of leather driving gloves and a tie that perfectly complement the aqua-toned stripes on your new pair of Adidas trainers, not to mention a red shirt that matches the other stripe, most other personal rules can go out of the window.
It goes without saying that a sharp, well-tailored, black suit has to be the finishing touch, and as I didn’t want to end up with black rub marks on my pristine white Adidas trainers the first time I wore them, I chose a pair of slightly shorter leg, boot cut trousers that sat just above the ankles and were perfectly moulded around my derriere. With such a perfect show of posterior, I needed a jacket that wouldn’t hide it. The ideal one was a tuxedo-style leather blazer from Warehouse.
With my ensemble sorted, there was nothing else to do other than take some pictures to record its perfection and relax for the rest of the day.
