Opposites attract: Floral leather dress

Curled up in my (empty) bathtub wearing an amazing painted leather dress.

As you may or many not have noticed, I am a lover of leather, especially leather suits. That being said, I do have some very feminine outfits in my collection, this leather dress being especially girly. The reason it ended up in my wardrobe despite being almost the opposite of my regular style is simple. It was love at first sight.

To start with, the print is just amazing! The panels are covered in the most intricate floral print work. None of the colours have bled together and even after 6 years and many wears, it hasn’t started peeling yet.

Add to that the pockets in the full skirt. This may not be a big thing for some of you out there, but I love them. When I’m out and about in this leather dress, I don’t always want to be carrying a handbag, no matter how petite and feminine, so the pockets give me the option to keep a couple of essentials to hand without ruining the line of the dress.

As for the boots, they just seemed to be the right match, glamorous enough but not too showy that they compete with the dress.
